Useless Machine
Youth Salon biennale - 2014 - Cairo - Egypt
I have long been intrigued by the boundless potential of mouvement and narratives. My inspiration echoes the words of Dutch kinetic artist "Theo Jansen," who aptly remarked that the presumed boundaries between art and engineering are constructions of our own mind.
Prompted by this insight, I embarked on a design project that reimagined the motion of flyingt as a mechanical guest. Taking inspiration from nature, I thoughtfully composed an elaborate piece that resembles a wing. It's accompanied by eight smaller meticulously composed frames that all add multifaceted dimensions to the overall concept. Through a thoughtful synthesis of machine and nature, I created a mechanized embodiment of flight, setting the stage for a kinetic performance that emits a rhythm significantly disparate from the fluidity of flight.
